Prior to treatment, we will have a thorough consultation to make a diagnosis and prescription recommendation. We will discuss the benefits and side effects of laser therapy, along with your medical history. Laser therapy may last from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated. Most patients require one to four treatments, depending on the condition of their skin and the level of treatment they desire. After treatment, your skin may appear slightly swollen or flushed, although these symptoms typically subside within 24 hours.

It is important to limit sun exposure immediately after laser therapy. In most cases, sunspots and age spots darken and flake off after laser therapy, leaving behind normal skin. Veins and vascular lesions either disappear immediately or darken before being absorbed by the body.
